What is Therapeutic Consulting?

A Therapeutic Consultant is a licensed professional that refers children, adolescents, and young adults suffering from mental illness or addiction to the treatment programs and professionals that best fit their needs.

The role of a Therapeutic Consultant is to:

  1. Help the young person and family understand the treatment choices available.

  2. Provide customized recommendations for treatment options based on the unique needs and circumstances of the young person and family.

  3. Connect the young person and family with the information and resources they need to select and begin treatment.

  4. Provide case management services before, during, and after treatment. While working together, the Therapeutic Consultant supports the child, family, and treatment program with the ultimate goal of health for the young person. This includes regular communication during the client’s length of stay.

Why hire a Therapeutic Consultant?

Using a Therapeutic Consultant can save families invaluable time finding the right help for their loved one. An excellent therapeutic consultant will provide families with insight and guidance that cannot be found on a website or brochure.
